Samsung has announced a series of new concave screens. The series, named T55, offers screens of 24, 27 and 32 inches that are all identical in their features. Their main feature is a relatively aggressive radius of 1000R. In addition to Samsung offer these screens, which are usually considered as an item for gamers, for general use and even with emphasis on office installations.
According to the company the choice of this radius was made because it is more suited to the natural human field of vision and is less tiring to the eye.
Samsung offers these screens with a 75 Hz refresh rate and with support for FreeSync technology, so focusing on gamers is not central to these screens – they are already expecting a pace of 120 and even 144 Hz.
Other features include a relatively low brightness of 250 Nits, again suitable for use in fluorescent light offices, an average 3,000: 1 contrast ratio, and standard VA technology and 1920 × 1080 pixel resolution. The screens also offer particularly narrow margins in three directions.
Samsung has not yet provided data on prices and launch dates.
